Hello all!

I’m running a Fluval 13.5 with InTank media baskets 1 (filtration, carbon, and bio cubes) & 2 (mini-refugium). I have the Sicce 1.0 pump upgrade as well.

with these upgrades, I’m having a terrible time keeping water levels in chambers 2 & 3. The main issue is keeping chamber 3 full enough to keep my heater submerged.

anyone else have a similar set up and issue? Any known solutions out there?

The problem is that chamber three is going to be where any evaporation shows up. So you either need to get an ATO to keep it full, top it off daily, or keep your heater in chamber 1. It really is a design flaw, but all AIOs have return chambers that don’t have constant water levels.

I figured this out.

I had chamber one filled with Floss, Carbon, BioMedia. Chamber two had my macro algae only. I moved the BioMedia from the bottom of chamber 1 and at the bottom of my macro algae.

I think the BioMedia I was using was restricting the flow from chamber 1 to 2.

‍Who knows! Haha

Do you have pictures? I am having an issue with adjusting the water levels which may very well be the flow
