Just wanted to post this in case it's of any interest to any of the rest of you. I suspected as I'm sure the rest of you had that this product is nothing more than a form of GFO. I believe iv proven this theory correct. Out of curiosity and because the lg. Bead size is much easier to use than traditional GFO I decided to try to "renew" the clearmax using the NaOH method "sodium hydroxide " it worked even better with the clear max beads than it does with traditional GFO. I soaked it for 72hrs. rinsed it with RO water until I was sure it was clean and tested it. My PO4 was 0.10 and after 24hrs it had come down to 0.04. At $10 for a 3 pack of this stuff its comparable in price, much more durable both during use and during recharging whereas I lost virtually none in the process and it's at least for me, since I have tremors , much easier to use with the lg bead size. I hope this is of interest to other people as well. IM SORRY IF THIS IS IN THE WRONG PLACE IM NEW
