fluval evo 13.5 light upgrade

What do you guys think that the best light for most corals are for the nano tank Evo 13 gallon? I'm looking to do a light update for reef tank I just want to get some ideas that I can brainstorm and research to see what the best what im looking for.

Depends on what type of corals you want to primarily have. Are you a soft coral person? Or would you want to have LPS or SPS? Some LPS and most SPS require a higher PAR.

Yeah I do want some harder corals like LPS or SPS but the thing is I don't want to have to get rid of my top for my tank. I want to light that fits In the light slot

From the research i've done i think your best option(just my opinion) would be an AI 12in blade light. From what i've read it should fit under the existing lid/hood. I don't know if it would require a slight modification to your lid(i.e. cutting a notch where the light slides would rest on tank glass) The AI Blade lights come in different light types(Coral grow, Coral Glow).

I attached pics of the 12in AI Blades i have as an example of the adjustable slides. When sitting on the edge of the tank glass they are right at 1/2 inch thick.

Other than that I would look at the upgraded Fluval light options available that would clip into the existing lid.

Blades if they fit would work well.
Lfs has them on a im15 like I run and they look great!.
If it was me I'd remove the top and replace it with a screened top.
This will give you more options.
I ran 2 16hd's on my 18" nano cube and run a gen 5 xr15 blue on my 15" nano cube, 10g's.
Both systems for a reference.
The 20 is 95% acros and the 15 is a mixed reef.

The problem you may have with the Evo and a replacement light is heat build up.

I had to remove the lid and replace with a mesh top, or the fish would be well poached.
