Ive had the fluval evo 5 for almost a year now, my first ever saltwater tank, i didnt know much but learned along the way, ive been having terrible phosphate problems this past 6 months and it basically became a gha farm. I was losing alot of corals and all i had left was a goby.

So i was sick of this and took down the whole tank. I wanted to use all the knowledge ive gained to restart the tank the right way. Heres some things i changed
- added the fluval ps2 protein skimmer, fits nicely in the corner
-running double carbon since i see no use in anything else
-doubled the amount media
-new rocks and sand
-taking time to add coral and fish, added a clown 2 weeks ago after 1 week cycling, added a mushroom today after 3 weeks cycling
Running filterfloss on top of oveeflow to gather surface protein
-new light, fluval aquasky, like that its programmable with the app. Major issue before was the light and it being manual with only white and blue settings

So far love the new look and using my past experience to make this tank perfect!

What do you guys think?

@mattaytayan looks good. What are your plans for stocking?

@flchamp89 I just did this with a JBJ 10 gallon came out great. If you decide to do a new tank please make a build thread.
Yep I'm trying to decide. I don't want the fluval 13.5. So this one or a 10 cube. But this might give you more of a lagoon style plus the light would work for RFA. Hmm decisions lol.
