Okay.....so, here goes nothing.

Always wanted to start a Nano Reef Aquarium.....finally bit the bullet with my daughter and this is what we did.

Tank:
Fluval Flex 15 Conversion

- Stock pump. Blocked the lower sump Intake

Tank Equipment:
Fluval M50 Submersible Heater
Fluval Marine 3.0
Fluval Sea Mini Protein Skimmer
Jebao FBA SW-2 with filter for safety

Cycled tank

Inhabitants:
2 - Black Photon Clownfish (paired up)
1 - Royal Gramma
1 - Black Neon Dottyback

Corals:

So far I have no issues with the light. Corals seem happy. I like the adjustability of it in Pro Mode.


Put some new aquascape in ... lights turned up for pic.

I just went with the Fluval Marine 3.0 for now. It fits perfect and not obtrusive.

So, far everything is happy with settings I put in....

What chamber did you put the Fluval Sea PS2 protein skimmer in? Did you have to make any modifications to get it to the right height?

Left back side. No mods as the skimmer has an adjustment knob that controls an angled cut rotary valve to regulate the rate the water flows out of the unit thus allowing water level adjustment to be made. I will say that either an ATO or a hang on glass bottle siphon type is really needed in order to dial in the skimmer. I does really collect a lot of protein.
