I purchased this as an upgrade to the stock light that comes with the Fluval 13.5 because it fitted in the lid. However the lid is annoying me so I’m going to get a mesh cover.

I removed the brackets (extendable arms) from the light so it would fit into the evo lid. Does anyone know if the brackets are able to be put back in? Other wise I’ll have to buy another light unless I can find a way to mount it to the tank.

I do not have the 13.5 gal, I have the 32 gal (Flex), but I suspect the light is mounted in a similar fashion (two plastic brackets with Phillips head screws on either side. When I elected to get rid of the cover, I initially looked for mounts on Amazon, similar to This

Ultimately, I decided to ditch the Fluval lights and built a canopy to house 3 Orphek bars. I’m much happier with this solution
