Can’t seem to find an answer. Getting ready to dose Flux RX in my 120 with sump. I bought the pack that treats up to 350 gallons. However, the instructions only start with dosing a 225 and goes up. How much should I dose for a 120? Half the does required by the instructions for a 250?
Also, just says how many scoops, but it came with two different size scoops and doesn’t say which one to use…

On the picture instructions you will see it show two separate size spoons for different doses. The larger spoon pic is for the larger sized spoon. As for how much to dose, just do the quick math by dividing it up. I think one big spoon treats 25 gallons and 1 small spoon treats 5 gallons based off of what I checked on brs's website. How many scoops does it say a 225 should use (using the big spoon only I think?)? If it matches the lagre 1 scoop per 25 gallons then there is your answer.

The recommended dose is 20mg per gallon (tank size not tank volume). Depending on the algae being treated, I’ve dosed as high as 30mg per gallon, and also ran it for prolonged periods (replacing the percentage of the initial dose relative to the percent of tank volume changed during water changes). I would start at 20mg per gallon and let it go for a couple weeks (remove carbon for duration of treatment and skimmer cup for three days after dosing). I’ve had luck with it for bryopsis, GHA, and cladophora, and didn’t experience any negative side effects (other than increased nutrients from the dying algae). IME it will kill caulerpa and chaeto, so take your refugium off line if you have one and if it’s possible.

Actually the picture instructions only have one spoon size. But it seems you’re right about it being 25 gallons per scoop because its 9 scoops for a 225. I’ll go with that. Thanks!

Thanks! Looks like it’s giving instructions for one big scoop per 25 gallons. Already have my chaeto out cause I tried vibrant and it didn’t work.

Old thread, but bringing it up to add:
Add back your carbon in addition to water changes to remove the treatment from your tank before putting your refugium back on line.
