Pink Home depot foam under stand?

I am finishing up a stand for my 300g 96x30x24, mostly 2x6 and 2x4 as seen in pictures
3/4 ply top and bottom
going to use foam under the tank- most likely amazon yoga mats since its an acrylic tank.

I am putting this tank in the parlor at our new house. home was built in 1890, have original floors. they are awesome but sure they are not perfect.

I will be bracing the floors from underneath but thinking of putting the whole stand on a piece of pink foam to help with any inconsistent surface.

anyone run foam under the stand?

With a 3/4 ply bottom, foam couldn't hurt.

My stand for my 300g (10x2x2) is on carpet over foam padding over a slab. When empty, the tank/stand did bounce a little. Once filled, I haven't had any problems.

I am going to ad a couple of brackets on the cross beams just for some extra support also. I have done the pink foam under the tank in the past but not under the stand.

EDIT. I misread and see you want it under the stand. I've never placed anything under a stand. I won't even place one on carpet. I tried it on carpet once and it just didn't feel sturdy to me.

I ran the pink insulation under my 180. It was rimmed tank so I just placed on the outer perimeter. When i broke the tank down there were places that were compressed so it looked like it served its purpose. It was running for over 8 years.

Yea, under the stand. It will be fully supported. Just want to take up some of the uneven floor boards. I have never put foam under the stand but haven’t figured out if it is bad or not

Maybe I am way off here but I would definitely not put high density foam under your stand.

I know it's a giant pain to level stands like this that contact the floor all the way around the base - I actually abandoned mine for a metal stand and skinned it with wood.

Don’t have the time for that unfortunately. Stand is built and I am moving in 15 days. Need to finish plumbing and water test. Going to transfer from my 125 to the 300 for the move

I think that is a good idea. I wish I thought about doing that.
