So i am coming up with some hair algea (very short) in my tank and i want to nip it in the butt before it gets out of hand. So my question is what do you think would be better to get rid of hair algea a fox face or blenny? Is it also true that fox face nip at LPS some times i feel like i remember reeve taking his out because it did. Any advice?

I have fox face and algeablenny and neither touched the small bit of HA I had. They just wait for the hand of god to drop in more rods food lol. Both do pick at the rocks all day though, my foxface has never touched my lps.

it is possible for a foxface to go after LPS if hungry, lawnmower bleeny is ok, but please find him a new home once your problem is no more, they will usually starve to death without the natural grown algae, some will eat prepared foods but most will not.

they can also develop a taste for polyps.

I personally have employeed Mexican Turbos, Tuxedo Urchins, SeaHares, Scarlet red hermits, Blue knucle hermits, and Lawnmowers as well. for ridding me of any algae.
