Strange marking on my foxface. Looks like a scrape or could it be a a bite? I just got a starry blenny and it looks suspiciously like his beak with scrapes. Anything I can do to help my buddy out?

Poor fella, I tend to leave things alone until they turn noticeably red or it gets worse for a couple of days. Keep water clean and parameters in check, add selcon or zoecon to foods to add vitamins and help her immune system.

Thanks. Not my most thought out post as I know I should just give it time but I am quite attached to this fish. Hoping someone could tell me if it's a bite or a scrape from rock. He is pretty hardy so should be fine.

^^This. Vitamin soaking fish food will help expedite the healing process. If it starts to look worse or turns red, get her into a QT and dose Kanaplex.

I can't honestly say whether its a bite or scrape or something else.

Looks like a bite. My FF gets them when he wanders too close to my mated clownfish pair. It always heals over after a couple of days.

Yeah, it healed up really well. Bet it's from the Blenny as the Foxface is more aggressive to it now. Odd since both fish are generally peaceful and I'm surprised to read about the territorial nature of blennies. The Foxface was one of the first dish and definitely the biggest so it's good to see him sticking up for himself
