Is she going to have a scar? Like a divet on her side now?
Tough to say. Skin damage does take a long time to fully heal - up to a month in some cases.

Wow! That is looking so much better! I don’t know about scaring though. That will need one of the medics to answer, but she really does look better!

Day 8 — Seachem Neoplex Treatment

What should I do next? Is her wound healed as best as it can be? Is she ready to move back into the display? Or is another round of Neoplex necessary to continue healing the wound area?

I would not extend the Neoplex treatment, the lesion is in the healing phase. Antibiotics can have have side effects.

I’d give it a week or two with no meds to ensure it doesn’t relapse - unless you think the treatment tank isn’t stable enough to house it that long.

Ok. Good to know. I appreciate the guidance.

I don’t know about anyone else but I’ll get up early like 3-4 am to check on the QT because I worry I’ll wake up and find that my fish perished from ammonia poisoning. Ugh.

The last 10 years I’ve had maybe 4 instances where hospital tanks were necessary. If I could avoid it and do a DT tank treatment I would—the ammonia challenge is always a nail biter for me.

I’ve got two 5 gallon jugs with fresh saltwater sitting under the desk so they’ll be at room temp for a water change tomorrow.

I was hoping, based on sources online, kanaplex might be gentler on the bio filter. And using a pretty hefty bag of aged bio media from the display the qt might support a single tang in a 20 long with only 15 gallons of water.

I increased the flow through the HOB tonight to move more water through the media.
maybe next time use your DT water for the QT tank, you will avoid the all the spikes do a water change on dt and use the water for qt

Bhindi is happy and back into the display. I’m sure she appreciates the extra room to stretch.
