Frag it or ride it out?

just noticed this today... not sure how fast it’s progressing and have to leave town for a few days. You guys think I should frag? Nothing else in the tank seems off.

Yea, i decided to frag the left side. Got a nice clean cut of both branches. Glued over the necrotic spots on the original and fingers are crossed. That left side is all the new growth over the last few months so hopefully it pulls through.

If you frag it... its probably a goner lol. In my own experience most of the time my RTN is defined by my lack of husbandry most cases either neglect from testing or nutrient buildup of some sort. That being said.. Most of the time that I have had this happen to me it eventually dies..
The only way they usually made It for me was to put them in my frag system which is completely separate from my main tank and cross my fingers. I have had pretty good successful rate doing this way.

That’s a nice looking piece. I hope it recovers. Any ideas what happened. Alk spike and/or nutrient crash? Are you using gfo or carbon dosing?
