I have a 40 G Breeder that i want to turn into a frag tank. I have extra canister filters from some freshwater tanks i took down, will a canister filter work for a frag tank?

#WelcometoR2R!!! You will likely get a range of opinions from those that believe that canisters should never be used to those who have been running their reef tanks successfully for many years with only a canister filter. Personally, I think that you will be okay running a frag tank with a canister filter as long as you regularly service the filter. Good luck with your new frag tank no matter what you choose!
