If this skimmer can go into a tank with fish it seems that it needs a way so a fish does not get stuck by the suction of the pump. I have seen other skimmers with that type of inlet, is it possible for this skimmer?

I have a IM Fusion 15 gallon AIO and I have a IM Lagoon 25 EXT so I would like to see how it works in an AIO and one in the tank as well.

This caught my eye as I continue to search for a skimmer that works well in my IM20 nano. Does anyone know what the internal diameter of the airline tubing used on the skimmer is? As I would be looking to connect the intake to a CO2 scrubber.
