Nice :) What was your biggest tank? This is the only pic I have of my planted freshwater tank.....not much fish other than a few Neons, dwarf gourami and a Synodontis Multipuctatus catfish.

Soon as I saw your rocky tank, I was expecting a calvus or other tanganyikan cichlids. I had a multi tank and a brevis pair about ten years ago. No pics though [emoji53]

@Waters largest I had was a 180 back at my old house but no photos of that :/ Had an African Pike and a trio of Lapradei bichirs in it.

@cmcoker it was home to Altolamprologus Calvus and Compressiceps, Neolamprologus Leleupi and some Peacocks as well :)

@Davesgt sorry mate haha I know my Channa usually drag attention from you guys over in the US, sadly I've none of me as of yet though I sometimes buy baby Giant Snakeheads as they are feeder fish here lol.

Those are lovely plecos man, right now here in Singapore we just got over the Channa season and now it's Pleco season where all the lfs are slowly bringing in different plecos for collectors. Do you guys have seasons for fish as well? Also love your lungfish, how big is he? Silver aro looking nice too! :)

Ahh man it's just hit and miss here really. We usually have certain plecos that you can only get at certain times so when they come invi snatch them lol, I've had over 40 different breeds. The lungfish is 32+" lol and as big around as my arm now the Arowana was 30" but he decided to jump

yikes, sorry to hear about your aro, 30" wow that's kind of big haha the biggest I've seen in a home aquaria was say 24"-26". Pbass are great and if you have like a mob of them it's cool seeing them patrol the tank, feeding time gets extra exciting as well [emoji16] What kind of pbass are you getting? My personal favorites are Orinoco and Azul :)

Yea he was a monster I think I may have a pic of us measuring him somewhere lol he was my buddy and would let me pet him. I am looking at azule, oscallarius, and teminsus think I spelled those right lol. The only fish that's in the tank besides my lung is a marbled sailfin cat she's a smaller breed than most but she's still about 24"

Here's our 90 gallon planted fresh. I'll have to take better pictures of it. We just recently switched it over to live plants, and we're still learning. We have a hodgepodge of community fish, and some mystery snails that have exploded in growth over the last month. The bottom picture is of our small beta tank :)

@Davesgt Azul, Ocellaris and Temensis [emoji16] , would love to see that sailfin!

@icedgxe that cichlid tank is goals, especially the algae/aufwuchs covered rocks [emoji7] Are you having a problem with snails? If yes, I'd recommend Dwarf Chain Loaches or Indian Pea Puffers, these guys will clean up your tank of any pest snails you have but on the downside you can't add any ornamental snails to the tank :/ Assassin snails work as well if you want to fight fire with fire [emoji12]

If you need help with them don't be shy to ask [emoji4] I had a 10gal that was soooooooo full of plants people were wondering why there weren't any fish in there [emoji23] [emoji23] Your betta is gorgeous, looks like one of my old bettas that I had before :)

Thanks! I admit that the cichlid tank gets a bit neglected now. I left it at my parents house years back and I am only able to work on it about once a month. It is doing well none the less. I do have a lot of snails in the planted tank but they haven't been causing any real issues.

I'm sure I will end up having plenty of questions. The switch to a planted tank actually stemmed from when I started my nano reef tank. It was the first time either of us had attempted a saltwater tank, and once we started stocking with corals it gave my boyfriend the idea to switch the freshwater over real plants. He decided he wanted a more natural look, so we took the plunge. So far everything seems to be going well with it. Definitely had to get a large clean up crew to do with the algae bloom that happened from having stronger light and a longer light period. Our snails have gotten huge in the month that we've had them.

Nah it's cool I'm always happy to help as with how many other members of this forum have helped me :)

I've yet to try corals, I wanted to try zoanthids but then again I'm afraid that I won't be able to properly care for them :/
