I keep getting 3.00 or 2.93 in my Hanna freshwater checker even tho there isn’t an ammonia problem or debris in the sample and the reagents aren’t out of date, it was working before, so I’m unsure why this is happening or what to do. The reagent B is turning it yellow and looks a little yellow already in the bottle idk if that helps.

I would take a water sample to a store and have them test your ammonia and compare readings- then you'll know where your levels truly are at. If Hanna still off, then contact hanna who offers great support

If the Checkr uses the Nessler method then it may not work with water that's been dechlorinated. This and the toxicity of the chemicals is why the Nessler method is hardly ever used for aquariums.

I recommend a Hach DR/900 for freshwater ammonia testing.

To be clear, are you running a freshwater ammonia test on freshwater or saltwater?
