We are new to LPS corals. Picked up a new frogspawn today. I feel our tank (100gallon) has high flow. It has a 40 and a 60 powerhead, one on each side of the tank. The LPS is in the center about mid ways up. It has only been in the tank 3ish hours and has not opened up yet... of course but wondering what is to much flow? The heads seems to be whipping around but do not know if it is to much?

How new is the tank?
What are your parameters?
What else is in the tank?

The tank has been up and running for 4 months. Parameters seem fine. Tank seems to be doing well as we are having good growth with everything. Starting to see a lot of coraline alge poping up everywhere as well as feather dusters. The only other coral in the tank is a small colony of zoas.

How do the zoas look? To be on the safe side let us know the temp, salinity, and ph. If you could take a picture of the tank with corals it would also be helpful.

Assuming the frogspawn looked great at the store, and hasnt opened since home.

Zoas look fine. Temp usually sits at 81 and silanity is right at 1.026. Would have to see what the last phone was.

The lights are off tonight but can get a fts tomorrow.

Here is a picture of the frogspawn when we put it in the tank tonight:

My hammer only likes low-med flow. Just enough to move the tentacles gently...like a gentle breeze.

All of my hammers and frogspawns really like uplifting, gentle flow. The torch is okay with some lateral flow and seems to like a little more flow than the hammers or frogspawns.
