do you have a guard on the wavemaker ?
No guard , I do have one that’s like a mesh , but if I use it I need to turn gyre up to max and don’t get that much flow , right now I’m letting caulerpa grow inside it and it kinda prevents the sucking in

Fts from today, need to test Params sometime this week lol

a lot of people hate Xenia but I like it, it fills the tank and provides movement / nitrate export

I can't wait to see what this tank looks like after a year of all those nems splitting! Going to be awesome.

Little video of the reef , I have a power head on the right side of the tank that is off. Do you think the flow is good? I can always increase the gyre or turn on power head. And yes I just put a bunch of bubbles in the tank lol

Just keep an eye on the nitrates. Don't want to be hitting double zeros.
I kno I definitely don’t want Dino’s , it’s strange I feel like I overfeed and I stopped all water changes a couple weeks back , yesterday fed two mysis cubes / 10 ml AB + and a half sheet of nori yet only my phosphates increased. I also dumped in a bunch of coral heaven from IPSF the other day which I suspect was phosphate rise

Not too many updates , another reefer gave me his used overflow box so I got rid of the HOB filter and I’m back to using a sump/ refugium. Sadly two anemones got sucked in by the HOB filter while it was in operation- I do not know if they are still alive they looked like they could recover but I have not seen them. Otherwise parameters still the same , phosphate is a little high at .3 ppm but I’m letting it ride, alk 9.8 , nitrate 30ppm

Have you gotten the nems out yet?
I got them out of the filter and it looked like only tentacle damage , they still attached to rocks and started moving ..but I have not seen them since, also two green anemones are hiding behinds rocks not in pic

That's good news. Gotta keep those intakes and pumps nem proofed.
