I’m curious. What lighting spectrum are you using? I’ve never seen an Oregon tort look like that.

I use the Red Sea led 90 and the ai reef blades. The settings I customized with a par meter.

But imo it’s more than lights for color. It’s also the chemistry of the tank. I dose Redsea 4 part which in my experience brings out the color also.

The nitrates are 5-10 and my phosphates are usually around .05-.07

So for me it’s a combination of things.

Don’t know what you mean but yes, all those things matter to get the color. The Oregon Tort colony I have is a very deep blue.

In comparison to the Hawkins which is more like a Tiffany blue but very bright as well.
