Good morning Folks.
I was wondering what is the benefits to running your fuge Lighting opposite of your daytime tank lighting. I have my sump with my display fuge set up in a tank room along side some other tanks, currently I run my lights all at the same time, as when it is lights out in the tank room I like to keep it dark. From what I read is a lot of people run the fuge lights when the tank lights are off, there is little explanation on why they do this just wondering if someone could fill me in on why this is a good idea. I tried it out last night but when I was up early this morning I went to have my coffee in the sump room all my other tanks were still at lights out but the fuges were going strong and causing a ton of extra light to the tanks in the room. Is it that great of a benefit to run them separately? If so I will come up with a blackout curtain or something to keep the lighting away from the other tanks.
