You should come to Reef2Reef more! That is one great looking tank!
Nice.Hello everyone
Hi @Quietelk! Do you have a tank thread going?This was my 900 x 450 x 450 AquaOne tank in March 2023.

New year's 2024 I thought the tank would be okay to leave for three days and of course the Vectra M2 suffered the thermistor error and the tank sat with no return pump and no skimmer for those three days. Incredibly, the only deaths were the corals within six inches of the surface, as this is how far the tank drained. The two MP10s and one ReefWave 45 were enough to keep all the fish and most of the inverts alive.
This was the tank last month:

Obviously the effects of the pump failure were more subtle than mere death. Certain corals became very dominant at the expense of others. The aiptasia situation became insane, and I had to resort to extreme measures: A Klein's butterfly. The tank quickly became obviously too small. Three clowns jumped (!). My beloved yellow coris wrasse jumped. Growth impeded flow, flow issues impacted overall biodiversity.
The answer was to upgrade to a Cade 900 (I only have a 1000mm space for a tank). The new tank has been set up for almost exactly a week now. No deaths. My second Illumina X4 arrives tomorrow. I guess I'll do a build thread once I have at least one "settled" looking FTS of the Cade.

So far the new tank is very impressive. Loving the gate valve on the downflow. Tweak it just right for absolute silence. The lack of water noise is part of why I've upgraded to the X4s -- as we know, the Hydra 32s have stupid-loud fans. Oh and this of course:
