Nice. I love the coraline on the glass. I just got a small frag of red tree sponge to see if I can keep it alive in a macro algae tank. I'm thinking of adding some more sponges and gorgonians like you have if it does well. What do you feed yours? I have some ReefBlizzard-O - Powdered planktonic food blend. Not sure if that will do on its own.

I feed the tank marine snow every other day, brine shrimp every other day, phytoplankton everyday and reef roids about once a week. Then for the fish I make my own mix of chopped up clams, shrimp, scallops, squid and what ever else I can find at the time with mysis shrimp

Here is the 5 year progression of my current system. Started out with a 90 gallon and a whole lot of DIY iniative. The first set up used t5 lights, and coralife skimmer that barely did anything. Gradually I got the hang of things and the tank thrived, despite my laid back reef keeping style. At some point I switched to LEDs and a better skimmer and I eventually got a good deal on a used 125gallon and switched everything over and set up a remote sump in the basement. Shortly after the 125 was set up, the tank slowly started crashing with slow and sporadic Coral and fish death. ICP test (should’ve not waited so long) showed extremely high tin which I was able to trace to two large plastic tubs that I used for my sump system. The last picture is what things look like 1 year after I sorted out the tin issue, the corals that survived grew massive! Now I’m slowly adding new coral to build up the tanks diversity, as it took a hit with the crash. Thanks for reading!
