What’s one item that’s not aquarium specific, but you find invaluable for maintaining, cleaning, organizing, or otherwise enjoying your aquarium?

Here’s two that got me thinking:

Back saver water water management:

What are you using that others might not have thought about

Errr… idk, i use razor blade, toothbrush, etc. Though i do use a dish washing sponge, and i have never heard of other people use it. So i am the only one i guess?
For filtering? I did that when i had a freshwater system. Speaking of sponges, anyone using magic erasers for cleaning their glass?

I can only thing of the regular stuff off the top of my head:
Turkey baster, old toothbrushes, cheapie 10mL syringes, buckets (already said but a good one), plastic bins in general of all sizes for different things.

Also, Dollar Store plastic colander for catching fish (if needing to transfer) and 3 qt. plastic containers with LARGE lids for RODI (use for testing clean-up and keep a couple in cabinet near tank for ATO container fill).

Turkey baster is a must in my book

The slotted holders for sponges from Dollar Store. They are tall so cut the height down and use it as a temp frag rack. I secure it with old magnets I saved.

plastic kitchen spatula !
great on the algae in your sump , try it...
Wait! We're supposed to clean the sump lol.
I have too many life forms living in the filth. When I replaced my last tank I scraped out 6 years worth of mulm and dumped in my new sump to give it a jump start.

I agree .. i keep the main display clean but a dirty sump.
I run a refugium so it gets algae on the baffles. The spatula works pretty well for me..
