Furan 2 whilst reversing hypo

Sorry for yet another thread, just a quick one here though. My blue hippo has popeye this morning, it's quite swollen and cloudy.

I have some furan 2 and was wondering whether it's worth (and safe) to treat with this antibiotic whilst raising the salinity?

Looks nasty to me. Done a 70% water change ready for starting the antibiotics. I'd just like confirmation it's the correct thing to do, I've never used them before.

I typically use erythromycin (Maracyn 1) for eye issues. Hypo would have no impact on either drug though.
Just checking - just the one eye is affected, the other is totally clear? That is an important diagnostic as other things than bacteria can cause two cloudy eyes.

Yes Jay, just the one eye is affected the other looks perfectly fine.

Always a struggle getting hold of medications in the UK, unfortunately Furan2 is all I have on hand. Its usually a good 2 weeks waiting for postage from the US.
