has anyone tried using the newer gel cushion pads to set pumps on, to help with vibration noise? Seems like they would work well, but am not sure whether the material will leach out any bad chemicals. Thoughts?

I tried a lot of different methods to get a quiet return, the only thing that worked was buying a DC pump and putting it on the low setting.

I don’t know about gel pads, but a ziplock bag of sand is reef safe. :)
