Yeah I’m using my turkey baster and filter socks to remove as much as I can. Doesn’t seem to be harmful to the crabs and snails. Just annoying to me. I sent of an ICP test to see if there is anything off in the water.@Jgerm, I saw your other thread on the clear slime and I agree with others who suggest it's bacterial film. I recently had some similar thick but easily brushed away bacterial film in my frag tank. I did brush a lot of it off my frag racks but it seemed to really just take care of itself after a couple weeks. It is strange and almost like a solid material where it can get caught in mechanical filtration easily. Weird stuff.
