The May POTM competition subject is Partial-Tank Shots. These are photographs that show a portion of a reef aquarium, preferably a "reef scene" void of any equipment. Everyone can easily participate in this competition as there is no need for a macro lens. Get your camera out and photograph the most attractive portion of your reef aquarium. The competition starts May 1. Entries are accepted through May 15. Below are two examples of the type of shot you should try to provide for this competition.

Right on, I have the clamera kinda dialed in now. I'll have to go snap some pic's!

What do I change in my settings when the camera is trying to automatically focus on something behind what I am actually trying to take a pic of?

Lol thanks, but there are some amazing setups out there. I just wanted to enter because I got some camera goodies today. I finally purchased a tripod, remote control, wide angle lens, and a few lens filters. I'm itching to take some pics.

Skinz, you have to switch to manual focus.
Sonny, no reason you can't. We're just having fun here. Break out the new toys and create some images.
