Anyone ever had a ghl maxi leak somewhere within the peristaltic pump casing? Can't find the source. Contacted GHL but doubt I'll get a reply before Monday.
And since I kept it stacked on my Doser 2.1 it trashed it and burnt it out...

Remove the head and inspect the internal hose. Do you have the zip ties installed on the hose? Mine were installed at the factory.

Do you have a blockage on the output causing pressure to build up On the internal hose making it burst or break loose?

The head is easily removed by pinching the concave parts of it and sliding off.

My fingers show where to pinch

Mostly the same heads as the DOS. Maybe peri tubing split, zip ties are loose or the gray tube barbs are not pushed into the input/output hoses.

Found the problem. The tubing split open - on a unit that's barely over a month old.

Is there any back pressure, kinks or blockages in the out line? if there is it might have burst like a balloon Rather than split from wear.

Good that you found the issue and interesting downside to having stackable equipment.

Sorry about that! Never considered a leak on the doser will ruin things below it. Important design consideration in the future. It’s very strange that new silicone tubing would break. Definitely a warranty issue and also mention your water damaged doser. Hopefully ghl will stand by their products

I couldn't find any kinks checking just now - and it runs 200mL 11 times a day, so see a good stream going into my kitchen sink from my sump at least daily. Never noticed a slowdown... But that was a good point to check - otherwise it may have happened again after I get it set back up.
Yeah I'm really hoping I'm not out ~$500 for the Doser SA... GHL has been good with support in the past, first time I'm needing them to actually replace something.
Yeah I'm just glad nothing else burnt out. Unfortunately I don't have enough room not to stack. Though I want to buy some more leak sensors to have around, since the one under the tank never tripped.

May just have been a flawed piece of peri tubing, thus bad luck. Not sure what brand GHL uses, but the saint gobain tygon stuff usually lasts a good long time. Probably should be replacing every 6 months though I confess to stretching to a year on my DOS.
