Hi Reefer Family,

Been a long time since I've posted on here

I've just updated my lights to a AquaticLife T5 unit 4 bulb and would like to know what 4 bulb combination would be best for sps growth and colour? Giesemann bulbs please as no lfs stock ATi bulbs in the UK

I'll be still using my ReefLed 90s ×2 @ 100% Blue, 35% Uv during the day

Thanks & Happy Reefing

I’d do an even mix of blue and actinic bulbs. Whatever giesemann labels those as. That’ll about cover the blue end of the spectrum. Then use the LEDs for visual whiteness/shimmer

I've currently got 2 Actinic Blue and 2 AquaBlue Coral looks abit to white for me plus the 2 ReefLed 90s are on 100% Blue

I’ve run 4 blue plus T5 bulbs with a couple Red Sea LED 50s over a 3 foot sps tank with good results.

Honestly I don’t think it matters which bulbs you choose. You have lighting covered and the shimmer is awesome.

My general preference is to mix 6500k of some sort with Actinic. ...so Tropic and their Super Actinic. For me, these type of bulbs offer more spectrum that most others and I like to get those to my corals.

If you can get GE bulbs in the UK, then they are similar to the tropic and are like $5. GE 6500k. They are a pretty common general purpose bulb, so worth a look and try.
