Glamorca Gyre Bushes

I have had a Glamorca gyre in my 4 foot tank for several years. The plastic bushes eroded and the bush on the motor end chewed out, failing to turn the rotor. I was unable to find a replacement so had to fix it myself. The first thing was to clean and dry the item then dry and scrape the loose decayed plastic away. I prepared a small amount of Kneadit Aqua, a polymer cement available here in Australia. I worked it in to the damaged hole in the bush making sure of good adhesion. I then pushed it on to the ceramic motor shaft as far as it would go. The excess putty was cleaned off. In one hour the Gyre was back in the tank fully fixed. I'm still trying to get the genuine parts.

It's made by Maxspect - so maybe some of the parts are compatible?
