I’m curious what people are using to clean their glass. Specifically the inside for algae control on the glass.

Main reason I ask is I use the flipper float right now and I’m not gonna lie. It sucks.

I have three-quarter inch glass and curious to see what others are using

Curious why you say it sucks? I started with the flipper float. Went to the tunze version and while it works fine, I gravitate back to flipper as it’s my preferred magnetic scraper for my front and sides

3/4" glass and I use the flipper. Never had an issue just go slow. If you try to go fast it will fly off, lol.

Maybe the blade for mine is bent or something but when it’s on the blade side only cleans about a quarter inch strip at a time and then forget the other side it does nothing

I use a stainless steel scraper with replaceable blades, they are on amazon for about $10. These things outmatch anything else I ever tried, but they are only 1" wide though so I suppose not ideal for large tanks.

Tunze Magnet Care. I have a large and small. Use the plastic ends to protect glass. That's a couple times a week. Deep cleaning I use a stainless steel razor blade holder. The actual double edge razor blades.

Outside - Tunze Glass cleaner for deep cleaning and then a chamois to buff it out.

Tunze Care Strong+ with ceramic blade, and it is the bomb-fing-diggity.

Oh, and I haven 3/4" glass as well.

I use the Tunze care magnet! It is awesome! A little pricey, but very worth it! It also has an attachable metal blade.

I had a Mag-float AGU00400's in my 250g tank with 3/4" glass and a Flipper Float in my 90g with 1/2" glass. I eventually tossed the Flipper and replaced it with a Mag-float AGU00400 because the Mag-float did a much better job of removing the algae in one or two passes.

Those particular Mag-floats are obscenely expensive and really big. Much more of an eyesore if you leave them in the tank than the Flipper.

This is my exact setup as well, including the Tunze Glass cleaner once a week after I do a water change.

I usually scrape my inside glass once a day.
