I'm still in awe every time you post new pictures. It's mind boggling! With your corals growing in so thick, your water flow must surely be impacted. What are your thoughts on water flow needs for healthy SPS?
Thanks m8

Most of my tanks have a kh consumption of 3-4 dkh/day.

The ez550reef is now at 4,83dkh/day

This means that every inch of the rocksurface is covered with corals and growing.

Leafs limited posibilities for flow
In these condition cyanonis alway lurking.

I developed a flow scheme for my tanks that covers most problems with flow

Glenn, do you vacuum, stir your shallow sand bed or just leave it be ?

.
My though of reefkeeping is enjoying it in front of the tank rather than in the tank.

So i try to find ways to cut on maintenance.
The powerfilter and flowscheme i developed take care of most common known problemen.

If that's not enough i use animal in the sandbed.
Archaster typicus, strombus snails and sanddollars are great cleaners.

So.. my sandbed seldom need any maintenance.
Only if the sand turn purple with coraline, i will blast is with a turkeyblaster.

OK, I see what you mean now. The diagram on your web site was most helpful. I didn't realize you have three "large" pumps in there and your alternating flow makes perfect sense.

You're always willing to share your methods and tell us what to watch out for. I really appreciate that and I'm sure others do as well.

Thank you sir and Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Looks awesome, but judging by your questions I would be worried it's a bleached/upset coral?
1,2,3 are all tue

I think it's woow
It is a high end coral
Yes it's living on the edge....
