Glenn just get the Tunze you will not be playing around with cheap pumps anymore. I have Tunze equipment that still works after 30 years now. Well worth the money spent. You have better things to do than work with cheap pumps that don’t last.

True, i have tunze 6101 still working. But because of the easier placement and modern controllers, I swapped them for the jeboa's a few year ago.

I just bought some Stream 3s after not buying anything from Tunze since 2006. I was out of the hobby until 3 years ago. My Tunze 6100(!) is running on my rock holding tank now, and it is working really well! I bought it in 2005 as a 6000 and upgraded in 2006 to a 6100. My Osmolator from 2004 or thereabouts still runs perfectly and I have been using it for 2 years. Thrown away a number of Jebao prop pumps in the last two years. I do like the Jebao (Coralbox) pumps, but the reliability of Tunze is comforting. I can't wait until the Tunze releases in 2019-2020 commemorating 60 years. I hope they leapfrog the industry with prop pump design.

Past 2 year i have about 8 jeboa that quit on me.
Half were replaced by supplier with spare pumpheads they keep in stock, so the service was fine...
A few years ago they cost just a fraction of a similar tunze streamer configuration.

Now tunze added a controller and by that lowering the price for a complete configuration make them more competative to consider again.

This is what 10 bulbs does on a 80cm wide tank

When you get things right the colors and growth are great.

Yes.. but i didn't see any advantage in any of those lights.. maybee i don't know what to look for[emoji848]
I am happy for now anyway...
Good point. I think the only benefit might be the transition to red florescence from green, in corals that do so. Perhaps I should just run Blue Plus bulbs.

It seems that by irritating the corals they can product more florescence.
Maybee i will start experimenting with UV leds in the near future. For now i have other things on my mind.

Glen poops out better reef tanks in 1 night than I make in 3 years :O

Love the thread Glenn, waiting for someone in Canada to import DSR.
Haha.... i am a coral and fish hoarder.
I can't seem to choose what to keep and what to let go so, I keep building tanks to place them[emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

I think your next stage is to plan an ocean home under water. It may just be easier.
