As I travel for work often i like to check out the LFS around. If anyone knows of any good stores that would be great. I will be working in the 63013 zip area but not sure on the hotel yet. but anything somewhat close would be great? Thanks

When I visit St. Louis, which is rather frequently, I always try to visit Clayton Pet Emporium They usually have an excellent collection of corals and always healthy looking tanks. You also might send a PM to Rich Dietz, Mr.Firemouth. He can direct you to other good shops.

PR is OK, but I think Gateway Aquatics is the best for LE stuff.
He frags everything and has reasonable prices.
Clayton Pet is the best for corals, fish, and mainly no one has better SPS!
Use your GPS as there is a lot of construction on the HWYs

I lived in St. Louis while I was an undergrad. It's too bad that I didn't know about the other nice LFS while I was there. I've only seen Clayton Pets, which was really enticing.

I'll second the GPS suggestion. It was a bit confusing for me to not to have the frontage road running by the highway. Onramps can be hard to find if you don't know your way around outside of Big Bend and Clayton.

I live right across the river, we should hook up and go shopping. Clayton pet is decent and also Tropical World pets. Tropical world does not have that great of a selection at all times but the people that work there/ own the place are fantastic. Im not sure if Marine Solutions is still open but i like that place alot too, good people and a good selection.

Stopped by Gateway for the first time yesterday. Wasn't real impressed with the health of their corals. A lot of them were not doing well. They did have a BUNCH of Ricordea though.

Yeah, his SPS is crap, Clayton was the powerhouse for SPS in town, but the majority of his softs and LPS are rocking. Gateway is heavy in Online business, too. Chad also gives the clubs local discounts.
