I added a flourishing Goni that I had my eye on at my LFS for the past 3 months. Added it to my tank just a week ago. Just recently I did a large water change due to a cyano outbreak in addition to adding cyan RX. A bag of carbon ripped and was shot around the tank so I blew it off with a baster. I lightly blew on the Goni to try and remove the granules from it with varied success. The Goni started closing up last night and this morning-afternoon is completely closed up... I dosed some Iodide to try and help the guy out but no luck so far...

My parameters are religiously tested with Hanna checkers and are as follows:

Ph: 8.2
Alk:10.2
CA: 460
NO3: 9.7
PO4: .11

Any help greatly appreciated.

Gonis are temperamental. I've had mine close for two days for no reason whatsoever. Given the multiple disturbances, I'd just leave it alone for another day or two before taking any actions.
