Mine only developed the bright blue stingers on polyps that got near other corals.

Here it is as a frag

Here it is about over a year later about 60% open.

He mostly killed that chalice behind it to the right also.

Ah never knew that. Never thought about aggression from a Goni. It looks like actually all the tips are turning purple but I have been noticing the extra long ones recently. I recently moved a torch above it. I assume it senses the torch. Fortunately with the tanks flow pattern they don't touch

Hi. I have grouped Alvepora & Gonipora together before, no issues. I still watch for stinging just in case. My large pink Goni coral was extending nicely. Then it looked like possibly a tiny 1 inch Goni frag might be stinging it. It retracted in the middle (area near frag) at first . I moved the frag. But now entire large Goni colony is totally retracted & has been for 4 days. Any advice?

Out of all my Goniopora this guy was the cheapest but has quickly become my favorite since I could have sworn it was dead twice. Then one day just started to take off. Very resilient little fella and a unique dark pink.
