hey guys.. I picked one up yesterday without really doing any research.. not smart, I know. But now if have a couple of questions.

Is it ok if it touches some coral? I have read some mixed opinions on that.
It has expanded quite a bit to where it is close to some zoas.
I can move it if it's going to be a problem.

Also, how often to feed? 1-2 times a week? Mysis?

I have read that they love cyclops At most every day to every 3 days. Depends on the specimen. As for touching other corals I don't recommend it touching anything but other gonipora's. We will see what #reefsquad and @LionfishLiar have to say

It doesn't have to be on the sandbed right? I have a spot on a rock I can place it on.

It will tell you where it is happy. It is a NPS coral so as long as it isn't super high in the tank you should be okay

Thanks for the help, guys! I moved it the other day. Glad I did, too! It started to touch my zoas and they closed up.
It gets huge!

I'm actually kind of starting to wish I hadn't made this purchase. Just seems a little too big for my nano.

I have done a lot of research as well on these because I have its cousin the alveopora. Apparently, you need to direct feed each and every separate polyp every other day. It's an extremely high maintenance coral. Good luck!

Mine has always been on my sand under 250w metal halides. I've had it for over 10 years and made several hundred frags from it. They like a decent amount of flow actually and I don't feed it or do anything special. I have heard the green ones are harder to keep than the red ones. Here is mine, there are several mini colonies, takes up about 1/4 of my 6' tank.

I just bought a $10 frag from my LPS last week. I currently have the frag placed in the sand. Will it continue to grow if I have it placed in the sand.
(ignore the sand)
