Now you mention it, the only really large territory fish are;
DWG, Clowns and the Chromis.
The rest are all lower in territory size.

IMHO the older fish will only kill new inhabitants if they’ve been introduced incorrectly or the tank is too small. I have a 4’ tank and a 18” RS Max Nano. Both of which are over a year old and adding fish to them is more than easy, I even have a Ctenochaetus binotatus in my 4’ tank which is “aggressive” apparently yet it avoids all new fish.
I only plan on adding 1 blue reef chromis fish. And then the 2 clowns that were there first. I will adjust and create 2 more caves just incase. But nobody in the tank is showing aggression, actually all are getting along and sometimes swim by each other with no curious pecking. The only fish that got super curious was one of the banggais to the diamond goby. But that stopped after half a day.

Occelaris can get to 4 inch depending on variant I think (I’ve seen a pair of black occelaris, each at 4 inch but never seen a pair of 4 inch orange occelaris).
I made sure I got the cheap normal variants of the clown. I looked it up and most say they cap at 3 inches. So I'm hopeful I don't end up with some jumbo clowns lol. But I don't think my LFS would screw me like that.

I personally wouldn’t rule out 4 inches altogether but hopefully they do stay around 2-3 inches.

That's what I thought too after much research on many forums and through the LFS locations I went to.
I'm using the BioCube 32 in front of me for reference. I've got probably 30 lbs of rock in there.

It could easily and comfortable house your proposed fish list, in my opinion.

I also like my tanks with a lot of visible Fish.

Do you have a pic of your 32 as well? So I can see how it is in there and get some ideas lol.
Here’s a pic of my 28 (pic is a few months old). I have a tailspot goby, six line wrasse, Banggai cardinal, pinkbar/aurora goby, and a valentini puffer, and think I’m just about stocked at five fish (might add one more smaller bottom dweller). I will say that visually I am a fan of more conservative stocking, too many fish and it becomes to chaotic, but that’s just personal preference.

I like lots of fish too. More of a reef look.
It’s the same over here, I have my ways that work for me but I recommend people to stick with a certain amount of fish to see how it works and then if that works and they can keep nutrient control then slowly build up.
I’m at 9 fish in my Red Sea Max Nano currently however they all need smaller territories.
Not the best FTS unfortunately. The amount of LR in there is unknown however it’s just enough to have caves, turns, twists and crevices for everyone to play in.

I have 37 lbs of rock just about in my 36 bowfront. 6 to 7 lbs of live and 30 lbs of dry. I also have 20 lbs of live sand in my tank. A wave maker, a uv pump, a canister filter which is filled with media that is good for bio/bacteria colonies, 300w heater, digital temp gauge, reef lighting, ect ect.....

Parameters now I checked them lastnight
Ph 8.3
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 20
Salinity 1.025
Temp 80.4

Everyone's eating and there's no aggression, there's just awkward caution between the diamond goby and the bigger banggai cardinalfish. But plenty of caves to break sight so they will get used to each other.

I look forward to seeing a build thread ;)
Yeah just waiting to gain experience through my 36g first. I pick a list of fish and let my fiancée pick out what she thinks looks good. Which is why my stock is the way it is lol. But everything will work out. Wrasse was a no argument fish on my end lol. But he was $70+ lol. I had to have him.
