You woke up, likely looked at your tank and said . . . . . . ?????

I while having coffee take a peek before I leave for work and said this morning, My Hanna Monitor is Green screen and water level good, ATO is actually adding water to the sump and the fish that never sleep such as cardinals and a couple of my tangs are swimming about the tank and a comfort to know all is well as I hope for each day

My tank is officially on the mend after months of nonsense.

Things are thriving for the most part, fish are happy, corals seem happy.

Oddly after battling dinos and insanely high phos for months, now I get this light film algae on the glass, its easy to clean, wipes away easy, sometimes looks like dust when I'm cleaning it, and that's 100% new after a year. But that needs to be cleaned every 2-3 days, or the whole tank looks foggy!

Good to hear! I haven't had much of a chance to check my tanks today, lot's going on here including new siding on the house starting today. Hopefully this evening I'll have more time for my tanks

Thanks for the reply! In my case, the insurance company is paying for this job. My whole neighborhood got absolutely pumped with a freak hailstorm in July of 2024. I mean, this was like biblical stuff, hail larger than golfball sized chunks. It badly damaged our cars, and some of our neighbors actually had their car totaled out from the hail damage. In blasted our roof, gutter, shutters, and the original aluminum siding, which looked like a dented up tin can afterwards So yeah, in this case, that's what insurance is for

If this is your primary filter, consider a hang-on regium such as fiji or CPR backpack along with a hang on skimmer such as Ice Cap K series

Please excuse the disaster of a back yard, we were in the process of repairing and restaining the decks, but here's a short video of the hailstorm. I think this went on for almost ten minutes or so.

Yes!! We are so excited for our new gutters, how pathetic is that lol! But our old ones never worked well, and the hail made them much worse. The new ones will be larger and include a leaf guard screen. I hate getting up on that roof and cleaning the gutters lol!

Me too! That's the worst...little pieces of leaf and bugs all over your face and in your ears sweating in the heat...not my idea of a good afternoon. I dont have to do it anymore!

What's funny for me is as a kid and younger adult heights never bothered me, but now that I'm older I don't like getting on that roof anymore lol! I'm hoping the new gutters help
