Holy crap man! Glad you're safe and hope the house didn't take any major damage.Well, that was a crazy night. Dickson, Humpfrees and Hickman counties got hit bad. The town of McEwen which is 3 towns over, got 17.02” of rain. Terrible devastation there. 10 people perished and 40 are missing. We were under a tornado warning for hours.
We never lost power here but the GFI that the hen house is running off of tripped. Cooling fans got wet.
Looks like White Bluff dodged another bullet. We got 9.6” of rain.
We are in it right now but it is supposed to get much worse in 2 hours. I am ready with my generator gassed up and plenty of Grand Marnier. :oops:I hope everyone stays dry and safe. Have a good hurricane party @Paul B!
We did okay here. Our house sits just off the crest of a hill with great runoff into streams on both sides. Each stream run about 100’ below us so we never really have any washout.Holy crap man! Glad you're safe and hope the house didn't take any major damage.
Priorities!Good morning everyone.
I'll try to throw in something a little lighthearted.
The last time we were going to get hit by a hurricane I went to a local brewery the night before (we were evacuating the next day) for a quick beer with a friend. The woman tending bar looks at me says, "Today I bought 3 twelve packs of my favorite beer and a dozen joints, so I whatever happens I think I'll be fine for a few days. I might get some soup too."
Stay safe everyone!
I had a fire hydrant make me tear up once.
