would they survive in the wild?
I don’t think so. They can breed independently here in Florida, without incubation, but the babies are easy targets for predators (until their shells firm up). They can’t tolerate below 50 degrees for extended periods.

They’re not native to America- wouldn’t even try releasing them.

It’s very simple to keep them. Just give them some romaine lettuce with the occasional pellet of tortoise-chow (or a bit of shredded chicken).

Any aquarists interested in having some redfoot tortoises? We have way too many. This is just one clutch from this season!

Much easier than corals to ship. They just go in a sock lol

Had these at my pet store. A little cat playpen with a heat lamp, Lettuce, zucchini, grapes, chicken and drinking water and beautiful as they mature. These and sulcate tortoise are excellent pets !!

I want a new car. But only if I don’t have to pay insurance or taxes.
If you figure out how, please let me know lol

That’s a good idea! I’m planning on being lazy and moving some stuff around in my tank.

Good morning! This weekend I'm hoping to start the process of setting up a breeding system. I have been collecting equipment and have a direction - so the physical equipment set begins later today.
