I did 30 minutes of aerobic cat purring. Now I am all sweaty.
Today is Jill's birthday. She will be 35 for the 30th year in a row. I made her a 3 layer chocolate cake. It took 3 hours. After that my Kitchenaid mixer was sweaty.

Not a very long walk this morning but I got the sunrise.
I can't walk to far unless I find water because I have to pour it over my knee or it would go on fire if I didn't do that and my wife frowns on it when I burn holes in my pants. :cool:

Studying the synergistic effects of combining both plant and animal derived resources with inorganic chemicals in various ratios for maximum palatability using the application of thermal tempering.

The results of this study show a wide variability in the overall outcome potentialities. I am seeking funding from DARPA to extend this project.

why I don't bake. I cook, quite well, but baking is science..... chemistry... all that measuring. I got kicked from eighth grade chemistry over an experiment. after watching one grain (per the instructions) of iodine crystal dissolve in to this way cool purple smoke, I thought, if one's cool imagine two.... imagine half a test tube!

why I don't bake. I cook, quite well, but baking is science..... chemistry... all that measuring. I got kicked from eighth grade chemistry over an experiment. after watching one grain (per the instructions) of iodine crystal dissolve in to this way cool purple smoke, I thought, if one's cool imagine two.... imagine half a test tube!

These biscuits were made with no measuring. Practice makes perfect. It is easy to estimate quantities of teaspoons, tablespoons and 1/4th cups.
It's kind of like salinity. Having an exact number doesn't really matter. Having the right amount matters.
It's how I run my tanks. I have no idea how you could teach that to someone else though.
As for the cake. 4.25 ounces of flour equals one sifted cup. You weigh the flour and most of the mess is gone.
I hate a mess and when I cook the kitchen is usually clean before it comes out of the oven.

Baking is almost equivalent to witchcraft here. I live a 6700 foot elevation. Water boils at 200 degrees and making candies is more complicated. About half of my cakes fall and bread is about impossible.

me too..... the LFS part..... already 2 coffees deep at work.
no impulse buying for me. need salt and another 4 liters of SeaChem Matrix. still dealing with high aluminum.
