Morning. Spent last night in the ER. Tripped and fell face first into the concrete patio. My forehead took most of the brunt force. My glasses cut my nose. No fractures but a concussion. And my shoulder is pretty sore too. Feel like I got ran over by a Mack truck.

Thoughts, prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery are coming your way! :)

Good morning! I have to get birthday presents mailed to my babies today, who will be 31 next week! How can that be?
Have a great Friday and weekend, you all (or y'all or yous guys...I grew up in Florida, so I can cover all areas of the country!). ;Joyful

Goodness! I hope and pray for a speedy recovery, especially with the shoulder situation!

Good Morning Friends!
Got a lot done yesterday and I’m glad I did. Looks like a rainy day here today and tomorrow also.
Got the registration notices in the mail yesterday for both the car and the truck. Super easy to take care of here. There is a bank right here in town about a mile away that does renewals. Just go to the drive up window, pay and get the new cert and sticker. NO DMV LINES!
Have a great day everyone.
Stay Safe & Salty!

When we moved from California, we had to learn the “Southern“ way of greeting folks.
One person is “Y’all”
More than one person is “All Y’all” !

OUCH!! I am glad they released you. Well i guess they did since you are posting, but technology and stuff...
I am fortunate to have a very hard head. but my skin is thin. I don't know that i have ever been concussed but i bleed frequently. Take it easy and get through this.

Good Morning.
I wear a lot of t-shirts. I have more than i have drawer space for; when i want one i have to unfold them to find the one i want. the solution was to hang them up. 60 hangers bought, 57 used, and now i have room in the dresser for the clothes that used to be on top of it and on various surfaces. I feel like a genius... who takes a very long time to address situations and resolve them.

speedy recovery.
pay attention to the doc's advisement with the concussion.

Yesterday, my son and I were scrubbing, mixing, changing tank stuff down in the basement.

We both heard a very loud, single "tick" followed immediately by a deafening KABOOM.

May the following electrical items RIP:
NAD T748 amp & receiver. This one really hurts.
Home security controller
Eero WIFI router
Both Optimum cable boxes

I guess surge protectors just aren't capable of handling that kind of surge.
I'll see your dad joke and raise you.

How do you make an octopus laugh?
You give it ten-tickles!

MrsBugmaster. Please don't do that again. If you need to remove that patio, use a sledgehammer, not your head.

Looks painful and I really hope you feel better soon. :)

Nice one. Don't give me credit for original humor though. This was a very real lighting strike. Either a direct hit to a grounded chimney or the power pole outside. Everything with a cable input was cooked plus a few other things on one breaker. Thankfully no fire and no apparent chimney damage.

We've all been close to strikes at some point and we have a tree that has been hit many times. The weird part was the preceding "tick" sound. Can the static build up preceding a strike actually trip a breaker? That was the sound we heard, just seemed really loud for a single breaker.

Good Morning.

another day of training. Should be a good one. @MrsBugmaster oh man, that must have been excruciating. Thoughts and prayers, and as others said, careful with the concussion. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

This has happened to me before. I take a quick glance at my tank and I notice something stuck to my powerhead.
OMG, it's yellow.........The only yellow fish I have is a copperband..........

Oh nooooooo. Not my prized copperband........This can't happen, he was so happy...

Of course as I went to take the poor creature out for a proper burial it turned out to be a yellowed mangrove leaf.

Stupid tree.

A bald man got a great deal on a wig today – only $1!
It was a small price toupee.
Thats the one I was after!
