Good Morning!

Good morning. Have been busy the past couple of days and haven’t been on here.
We have a “forced”walk out basement, which means they just dug a big hole in the ground and called it a walk out instead of building house into the side of a hill like normal walk out basement are done. Bad idea, don’t ever do this! Anyway it has two outside sump pits to keep basement from flooding and both pump went out. When we bought the home it had only one pit… basement flooded 3 months after moving in. Now we have two sump pits for redundancy. Only one plumbing place carries the same brand pump for easy plug and play, but want $95 just to come give us an estimated and won’t sell us just the pump. My husband says screw that, we can do it ourselves… 2 days later we are still working on it. Different brand pumps so nothing lines up , one of the old pumps didn’t even have a union on it. Had to cut and redo all the plumbing in a 5 ft deep pit. Fun times! One is in and works hopefully will finish up the second one today.

Believe it or not, that actually happened to an 18 wheeler on our gravel road. (Very similar to the picture)

He said he was looking for Florida Tile (a local tiling business), which is over 30 minutes away from where he was. He bottomed out when he was coming down off a steep hill. In doing so, he trapped everyone on our road from going into town for around 3 days.

Good morning everyone! Have a good Saturday. :)
nope, saturday is going downhill faster than a roller coaster ride. Led lights are flickering, didn't want to turn on. Need to figure out why, they are past warranty (slightly over 1 yr old) Argh..... Not enough coffee this day.

Hope everyone else is doing better :)

This was it after they eventually pushed it the rest of the way down the hill D54B95D7-C63F-4A4F-AE14-215A37B0568C.jpeg 3E19E91B-9431-49CD-B4F2-A081A02B4EB9.jpeg
I actually forgot how they did manage to get that thing out of there, but it did take a whole day.

Edit: I remember now. They had to lift each end up with a tow truck and maneuver it out.

Good Morning. Going surf fishing this morning behind my home. I haven't surf fished since I used to SCUBA dive. It was silly to actually fish when I used to get more fish and lobsters that I knew what to do with.

I don't dive any more, my aluminum knee won't let me so now I am getting back to fishing. I am putting my boat away this week because it is just to windy.

I will be driving my Jeep on the beach and I hope I don't actually catch anything as that would smell up my Jeep.

But I am going with a couple of friends so it should be fun.

This is the beach. It's the same beach where I collect water, but I don't need any.

Good Morning All!
Looks like I missed a few days, AGAIN! Hope Y’all have been doing okay.
Headed to the LFS today for water and the reptile store for feeder insects. Fall is finally here and the leaves are piling up. Low 40’s this morning and it feels very refreshing but our hens are not too happy about it.
About a week ago, one of our Bantams (hen) started limping around. Turns out she had broken a toe. Not much you can do to set a chickens toe so yesterday, I got to play Dr while Angela held her. I made it numb by spraying it with canned air, snipped it off at the joint above the break and sutured the end closed. She never even flinched and is walking much better. I’ll keep her on antibiotics for a week.
Hope Y’all have a great Sunday!

Hear about the lawyer that got lost on a camping trip with one of his clients?
He was found with criminal in-tent.

Good morning. Daughter came home from college for the weekend. Her dad took her to Chicago to a Twenty One Pilot’s concert last night. She is going back this morning.
He should go to Reef-a-palooza!

Good morning

I finished my kitchen duties and am taking a small break. It is great seeing the kids and grandkids but it is super tiring for me. I am expected to cook meals like I always have.
You all live in such interesting places. I always love the pics.

My LED did something similar. I saw flickering early one morning when the light was "supposed" to be off, but it was only on the right side. I never use the lightening setting (my tank doesn't need thunderstorms), but I double checked that and the lightening wasn't on...why would it only lightening on the right side anyway? Turned out to be a bad driver on that side. I was barely inside warranty, so I was able to get it repaired, but lost some corals along the way. I hope your situation turns out ok!

It's the hub box, it was making a squealing humming noise last night. We cleaned the connectors and so far so good. No humming, no flickers. I've ordered a new box. But, if these go bad each year, that just adds to the cost of the current usa products. I'd rather be back to t5's. Looking at those now. Some nice sales atm.

Losing corals due to light malfunctions, really urks me. We're at that point we need backup filters, return pumps, skimmers, lights and multiple aquariums in case of emergency leaks. The list of what I went through these last 8 months.... My fault entirely.
