Hope everyone had a great weekend.
We went into Nashville on Saturday and had an opportunity to see, first hand, what the tornadoes did in Kingston Springs and Shacklett last weekend. Shacklett, which is a small, unincorporated community along HWY 70, is completely gone. It was a real eye opener for us. We had given thought to a storm shelter in the past and now have decided it is a MUST HAVE.
After some research yesterday, we found a company fairly local to us that offers several different types of shelters and “safe rooms”.
They have a concrete, in ground shelter ( 6’x8’x6’1” tall, inside dimensions), fully vented and (the door and exposed roof) can withstand EF5 tornado forces. Free delivery, excavated, installed and graded in one day for $6700 ( $150/hr extra if they hit rock and have to cut through. )
The 6’x8’ is large enough for Angela and myself, the two parrots “travel” cages, three cat carriers and still have room to shove the chickens in there with us. Looks like we might be doing it soon.

Nathan became really agitated. “What I mean,” he whined, “is I’d like to see something really cheap.” So the sales girl handed him a mirror.

Good morning! This weekend was my last live sale :rolleyes:....I only bought 22 items (so far), split between the 90 and my zoa -dedicated BioCube.

I managed to install the nano ATO! Good thing I have a nano hand because it was a tight squeeze getting my hand in the chamber to install the probe. I had to pretty much guess at where I keep my water line. I'm pretty close this morning. I may need to lower the probe a tiny bit. Will watch it over the next day or so. My "reservoir" is a water pitcher for now. I need to get a 1-gallon bucket....couldn't find such a thing in the garage. The cabinet will actually hold a 5-gallon bucket, but it will take up the entire cabinet. Now to remember to fill up the reservoir....I guess I just need to make it a habit when I fill up the reservoir for the 90. Always something...

Were you looking for specific corals? I was really happy with my zoa purchases because they were specific ones on my wish list, and I had seen them at other live sales for ridiculous prices. I also bought some new acros for reasonable prices to replace the ones I lost from my LED fiasco several months ago. They have a ton of pieces left. I picked up a few more this morning from the late hours yesterday. I signed off early Saturday and was just on a short time yesterday. The only thing I got yesterday during the LS part was a JF Beach Bum for $29.99...that one is also usually ridiculously priced and was a prized piece I also lost during the LED fiasco.

SBB had some sweet looking gonis for cheap I missed out on. I was a sad puppy.
All I wanted from CC was a I forget the name zoa and maybe a solar flare and a red goni. BUT The solar flare acro sold in a heart beat and so did the zoas I wanted.
These guys.. whatever their name is...

Would be worth the investment considering where you live. Not to mention the piece of mind it will give you.

That’s exactly how we feel. Kind of like carrying an umbrella on a sunny day, JUST IN CASE!
When we requested a quote, we were expecting at least twice that much money. Even if it never gets used, I’m sure it would also add value to the property.
