Ok cool I have them in a side tank connected to my display wanted to move the live rock over but didn't want to put anything bad in it

They're great little guys, they eat detritus and make up a healthy part of a reef system.

good, but probably dead now....
I was always told that stars cant be exposed to air. True?

Eh. They're really not supposed to, but it's not a death sentence. Especially a small one like that. Now if I paid big bucks for a fancy one, I wouldn't expose it to air. But little guys like that manage to survive live rock transfers basically everywhere.

:) I noticed mine survived on a frag transfer to another tank but I thought maybe he was extra strong ;)

super good. once he grows he will start sticking his tenticals out to say hello at feeding time. Bristle star, one of my fav tank inhabitants.
