Well as the title says my watchman goby has passed away. I got him this past Wednesday and he's now passed on. He didn't have ich or scratches or cuts. I think he just refused to eat. I tried pellets and frozen food and got nothing. Anybody have this issue before? Well I got him out before he could start decomposing.

P.s. my parameters are spot on with a little low Ca. Everything else is perfect.

Try to get the lfs to feed the fish at the store before you purchase and see what it eats. thatll buy some time so it gets used to captive life. Sometimes wild caught fish take a while to figure out what food is. Feed it what it ate at the store and gradually start mixing in the other food that you feed. But yes I have lost a watchmen goby due to this issue before.

+1 make sure they are eating at the store. If the employee wont feed them for you, then that's a big red flag.

They tend to have parasites also. I have had a couple die in quarantine after looking and feeding good for weeks.
