yeah minimizing a popup ad every page I go to is beyond annoying.

These ads are horrible. I would put them in the same category as scammer calls and robocalls, and I have an idea what to do to those who created them but to talk about it would be against the TOS.

They’ve made the site unusable in many ways. I can’t even click the bell icon to see notifications without a pop up blocking it

Anyone remember NetZero back when the internet was using dial up? You could surf for free all you want but you had to leave the banner ad on the screen.

I wish I could help more but I don’t have the tools. I can assure you we did not “sell out” Reef2Reef. Nor did @revhtree sell out to ads. Those speculations are simply not true. Either something with bots, a jacked up code or something else broke. I’ve let him know and we will fix this immediately. Sorry this happened late last night for us.

Again let me reiterate, this is simply a glitch, not reef2reef becoming an ad platform for google ads.

I was just made aware of this and am working to remove this now. This was not approved and should never be showing. I promise you that!!

+1 for Brave browser. I also use Duck Duck Go. No problem there, either. Many love & prefer Google, but if you use it, just know that *you* are their product. Always use an ad blocker extension with Chrome.

I PROMISE YOU THAT THIS WAS A 100% COMPLETE GOOGLE PROBLEM! I wish someone would have called me or something and alerted me. Literally just found out about 15 min ago. We've always had all of our sites set up with google but for some reason they turned on AUTO ADS. I completely deleted R2R out of their dashboard so it doesn't happen again! GRRRRRRRR!

Hold tight everyone. Ive reached out to @revhtree and hopefully should have an answer soon. This doesnt seem like something that would be done on purpose. It may be a feature on the new server that they were unaware of and didn't get turned off.
