Gorgonian not sprouting last couple days

wondering if this is a normal process or is my coral distress? It was always brown and furry. last couple days It's just not sprouting. i'm not sure if maybe it's too much light. I had increased my light a while ago like good results of mostly like the trachey blew up (although I tried to put that one and less bright spot) not quite sure about the light and flow requirements for the Gorg. also snail hanging out at base not sure if that's making the coral retreat.

Personally I don’t worry anymore. My gorgs are all so moody, they keep closed for 3-4-5 days at a time. As long as nothing changes it should come back. In my opinion.
