I just rinsed with tap, dumped some biospira and added livestock same day.

Looks good! I like the blue background!
How exactly did you rinse it? Started a thread earlier asking how I should rinse it as it’s cold outside and can’t power wash it!

Yeah! It’s a great deal. It’s been as low as $66 with the coupon when it shows up. It’s amazing how some things can be priced so differently depending on the retailer. Sometimes I appreciate map pricing. Makes shopping around easy.... you don’t need to. Haha!

You think the rock will leach phosphates in time?
I just dropped mine in with no rinsing. 30lbs caribsea and 30lbs live.
Tank is 6 months old and no phosphate issues. I got some dark brown algae but gone once coralline took off.
Hete are 2 pics one at 3 or so months and the other current with no algae. I am happy with the stuff.

It's actually black but for some reason looks blue in pics. I just rinsed it in the sink...

Nice price. Just wish it didn’t have the paint on it.

Bought two 40 lb boxes on cyber Monday! Got the $66 per box price. I'm very happy with the way it looks and will be using it on my new 120 build! If anyone has photos of their rockscape using the lifereef base rock it would be great to see them! I'm trying to get ideas for my rockscape! Thanks

Has anyone that has recently used this rock without curing, and tested their before and after phosphate results?
Whenever I add any new rock, if it's dry. When I cure it I test the water as I go to make sure phosphates have stopped leaching, and same with pH. If it keeps leaching, I scrap it.

I only rinse them in used saltwater from a water change and put them into DT, no curing at all. No problems.

Bought 80 pounds for the start of my 150 gallon. Will mix in with other rock I have.
